Frequently Asked Questions

Where is DropTine Land Clearing based, and how far do you travel?

We’re based in Early, Texas, which is near Brownwood in Central Texas. We take on projects within approximately 150 miles of our location, covering a broad area that includes Brownwood, Brady, Abilene, San Angelo, Midland, Georgetown, Cedar Park, and other communities throughout the Central and West Texas region. If you’re not sure whether your property is within our range, call us and we’ll tell you.

We handle land clearing, forestry mulching, grubbing, brush and underbrush clearing, and junk removal. Many of our jobs involve a combination of these services, particularly when a property needs both above-ground vegetation cleared and below-ground root systems removed.

Yes. We offer free estimates on all services. We come to the property, assess what needs to be done, and give you a clear picture of scope and cost before any work begins. There’s no obligation.

Yes. We work with residential landowners, rural property owners, ranchers, and commercial clients. We’re set up to handle both types of projects, and the approach we take is driven by the property and the job — not the category.

We operate Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

We don’t have a minimum acreage requirement, but we do have a two-day minimum billing structure that applies to all jobs. Moving and operating heavy clearing equipment has a real cost, and the two-day minimum reflects that. We’re transparent about this during the estimate so there are no surprises.

That’s what the free estimate is for. Most landowners have a general sense of the problem — overgrowth, stumps, brush, junk — but aren’t sure which service or combination of services is the right solution. We come out, take a look, and give you an honest recommendation.

DropTine Land Clearing and Excavation opened in late 2024. The owner and operator together bring over 10 years of hands-on experience in brush clearing and land management in this part of Texas.

You can call us directly at (325) 998-0267 or fill out the contact form on our website. We’ll get back to you to schedule the estimate.

Generally yes, though certain weather conditions — particularly extended wet periods — can affect scheduling when they make equipment operation on soft ground impractical. We communicate clearly about timing if conditions are a factor.

Not always. Once we’ve completed the estimate and confirmed the scope of the job, we can typically carry out the work without you present. We’ll keep you informed throughout the project and let you know when the job is done.

Our primary service area is within roughly 150 miles of Early, Texas, which covers a large portion of Central and West Texas. We’ve also taken on jobs in the Midland area, which is on the outer edge of that range. Contact us about your specific location.
